dear camping...

the third time was a charm. in fact, you were the perfect weekend getaway...

we tried you twice before. once last year and again a few months ago. i gave you very mixed reviews. this time was different. it was fun. and i can't even tell you what specifically made the two days we spent at o'nell regional park campground so perfect. it just was.

ok, maybe there were a few things...

maybe because it was seriously BEAUTIFUL.

SERIOUSLY.

maybe it was the pink sky we were blessed with that night.

maybe it was that magical pink castle.

it was absolutely partly because i brought twinkle lights despite max f'ing with them any chance he thought i wasn't looking. i am always looking kid!

the glow stick necklaces josh brought along. no doubt. 

i'm telling you. 

twinkle lights are always a good idea. 

dancing to no music. 

just scooting along.

also, $6 red beanies. 

maybe it was that epic slide the boys had all to themselves for a solid half hour. 

maybe.

maybe it was chasing the light on this path.

or making footprints in the sand. 

maybe because knox.

maybe because this nature center was pretty awesome. 

and we liked it thiiiiiiiis much. 

maybe because this was a great place for jumping. 

and for the moments like this. 

maybe because climbing a tree makes you feel like a kid again.

maybe love was in the air....?!

whatever it was i'm giving this trip a round of high-fives + a five star rating.
